Who we are
Maravier Ltd (“Maravier”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We’re registered in England and Wales, company number 17520838, with our registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF. We’ve paid the data protection fee to the Information Commission, the UK’s data protection regulator, and our registration number is [registration number].
To contact us about your information, email hello@maravier.com.
What we collect
- When you reserve a founding price: your business name, company number (if you give it), your name, work email, mobile number, number of staff, what your business does, whether you pay monthly or yearly, whether you’re switching HR provider and the details you give about that, and your choices about health and safety and email updates.
- When you pay: Stripe takes your payment. We don’t see or keep your full card number. Stripe tells us the payment went through, your billing address and, if you give it, your VAT number.
- When you ask for the checklist: your first name, work email, business name, number of staff and your email updates choice.
- When you use the switch check: who your HR provider is, when you signed, the contract length and notice period, your name, work email, business name and your email updates choice.
- When you book a call: the details you give our booking tool, Cal.com: your name, email, business name, number of staff, industry and current HR provider.
- When you use this site: anonymous visit statistics, such as the pages viewed, the buttons used and the website or ad that sent you here. If you accept ad cookies, Google and Meta also receive information about your visit. See our cookie policy.
- When you email us: what you write and your contact details.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To take your pre-order, refund it if you ask, and set you up at launch. This is needed for the contract you’re entering into with us.
- To send the checklist you asked for and reply to your switch check. Our legitimate interest in answering requests you make.
- To send Maravier updates by email, only if you tick the box. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- To understand how the site is used and which ads work. Our legitimate interest in improving the site, for anonymous statistics; your consent, for ad cookies.
- To keep financial records and meet tax rules. A legal obligation.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure. Our legitimate interest in protecting our customers and our business.
Who we share it with
We only share what each provider needs to do its job for us:
- Stripe, which processes payments and stores your card to start your subscription at launch.
- Railway, which hosts this site and its database in its European region, in Amsterdam.
- Resend, which sends our emails.
- Plausible Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
- Cal.com, which runs our call booking.
- Google and Meta, only if you accept ad cookies.
- Our HR experts and our employment solicitor, when we set you up as a member.
- Our accountants and HMRC, for tax and accounting.
Some of these providers store information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum.
We never sell your information.
Your staff’s information, once we launch
When you become a member, we’ll handle your staff’s information on your behalf to do your HR work. You, the people you allow and your Maravier HR team can see it. A separate data processing agreement, which you’ll get before you share any staff information with us, explains how we store and protect it.
How long we keep it
- Pre-orders and payments: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as tax law requires, even if you take a refund.
- Checklist and switch-check requests: 24 months after we last hear from you, unless you become a member.
- Email updates: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of your unsubscribe so we don’t email you again.
- Call bookings: 24 months after the call, unless you become a member.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to how we use it, or send it to another organisation. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@maravier.com and we’ll reply within one month.
How to complain
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first at hello@maravier.com. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome without undue delay.
You can also complain to the Information Commission, which replaced the Information Commissioner’s Office on 30 September 2026, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
