Launching January 2027. Founding prices fixed for 24 months.

Your named HR expert, and Mirith

Anything serious goes to your named HR expert: the same HR expert every time, with a named backup when they’re away. Mirith, our assistant, answers everyday questions in the app at any hour, with the source.

Ask Mirith

Kasia has told me she’s pregnant. What do I need to do?

Mirith

This is one for your HR expert, so I’ve passed it to Rachel with our chat. She’ll take you through the risk assessment, time off for appointments and the dates to confirm in writing.

Rachel has this nowReply by 5pm today
A preview of a question being handed over: the owner says an employee is pregnant, Mirith passes the chat to Rachel, the HR expert, and the app shows “Reply by 5pm today”.

Your named HR expert

From the day you join, one named HR expert looks after your business. You’ll see their name and photo in the app, and you meet them on your set-up call. Anything our legal checks flag in your first pack goes to them before it’s sent.

We’re appointing our HR experts now. Every one we take on has at least CIPD Level 5 and 3 or more years handling disciplinaries and tribunal claims for small employers.

  • It’s the same HR expert every time, with a named backup when they’re away.
  • We’re appointing our HR experts in pairs, so your backup will already know your business.
  • We only change your HR expert if they leave or you ask. The new one gets a handover call and reads your full history.

What your HR expert does

  • Handles disciplinaries, grievances and anything that could reach a tribunal with you, and does the paperwork at every step.
  • Checks every dismissal by the next working day. Dismissal letters stay locked until they sign off.
  • Picks up anything Mirith hands on, with your whole chat, so you don’t have to explain twice.
  • Coaches you before difficult conversations and hearings.
  • Advises you on whether to settle or defend a claim.
  • Arranges an independent investigation when a case needs one.

Dismissals, settlement offers and anything about your own conduct always need your HR expert’s sign-off before anything goes out.

Mirith, our assistant

Mirith, our assistant, answers everyday questions in the app at any hour, with the source. It isn’t a person: every reply is labelled Mirith or with your HR expert’s name, so you always know which you’re reading.

  • Answers only from an approved library: Acas, gov.uk and legislation pages, plus our own playbooks and templates.
  • Shows the source on every answer, so you can check the page it’s based on.
  • Doesn’t guess. If nothing in the library supports an answer, it hands the question to your HR expert.
  • Works out the numbers: notice, holiday pay, sick pay and maternity dates.
  • Drafts routine letters for you to approve, like a pay rise.
  • Keeps one advice record of every answer.

Mirith never makes a decision about a person. You decide, and your HR expert signs off every dismissal.

Maravier

Can I let someone go who’s been here 5 months?

Mirith

This could end in a dismissal, so it’s one for your HR expert. I’ve passed it to Rachel with our chat. She’ll check the reason and the process with you, and prepare the letters.

What Mirith always hands to your HR expert

Before it answers, Mirith checks the topic. Anything on this list goes straight to your HR expert with your chat and Mirith’s draft, and so does anything Mirith isn’t sure about.

Your HR expert replies in the same thread, and the app shows you who has it and when to expect a reply.

  • Pregnancy and maternity
  • Long sickness or disability
  • Discrimination
  • Harassment
  • Whistleblowing, when someone reports wrongdoing at work
  • Grievances
  • Anything about your own conduct
  • Anything involving a worker under 18
  • Anything that could end in a dismissal
  • Any claim, call from Acas or tribunal

Hours and reply times

Your HR expert works 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, except bank holidays. In the evenings and at weekends, Mirith answers in the app and passes anything serious to them the next working day.

  • Everyday questions: Mirith, our assistant, answers them in the app at any hour, with the source. You can also message your HR expert in the app.
  • Anything serious: your HR expert replies by 5pm if it reaches them by 3pm on a working day, and otherwise by noon the next working day.
  • Dismissals: every dismissal is checked by the next working day.
  • “Acas has called”: the button has the same reply times, and the app shows you the exact time, such as “Reply by 5pm today”.

Who does what

Mirith does the routine work, so your HR expert’s time goes on the calls that need judgement and experience.

  • Mirith answers

Everyday questions with a source, calculations, reminders and deadlines, and routine letters you approve. Our HR experts sample the answers every week.

  • Mirith drafts, your HR expert signs off

Warnings, dismissals, contract changes that cut pay, hours or rights, and everything on the list above. Nothing goes out until your HR expert has checked it.

  • Your HR expert handles

Difficult conversations, coaching you before a hearing, whether to settle or defend a claim, and arranging an independent investigation.

You make the final call; we do everything else. See how it works, step by step

We act for you, the employer

Your staff use the app to book holiday, report sickness, do their training and raise concerns. They’re told that Maravier acts for you, and pointed to Acas for free, independent advice about their own rights.

  • A concern raised by a member of staff comes to your HR expert, not their manager, and they can keep their name from you.
  • Nothing they tell us is passed to you automatically. Your HR expert decides what you need to know.
  • Concerns about you follow a confidential route, and your HR expert can recommend an independent investigation.
  • Questions about their rights against you go to the Acas helpline, not to us.

Questions

Is Mirith a person?

No. Mirith is our assistant. Every reply is labelled Mirith or with your HR expert’s name, and anything serious goes to your HR expert.

What happens when my HR expert is away?

Your named backup covers their holidays and sickness. We’re appointing our HR experts in pairs, so your backup will already know your business and can read your full history.

Can I change my HR expert?

Yes. Ask us. Your new HR expert has a handover call and reads your full history, so you don’t start again.

Is my HR expert a solicitor?

No. Every HR expert we take on has at least CIPD Level 5. We’re your HR team, not a law firm: our employment solicitor will draft legal documents such as settlement agreements, and sign off our core templates and every update when the law changes.

How do you keep Mirith’s answers right?

When the law changes, our HR experts work out what it means, our employment solicitor will sign off the new wording, and Mirith’s library changes on the day the change starts. Before any update goes live, we rerun a bank of test questions with known right answers.

Once Mirith is live, our HR experts will also check a sample of its answers every week and review every answer you mark down.

Where do my questions to Mirith go?

They’re processed in the EU, and every answer is kept in your advice record. The first time you use Mirith, the app explains how it works and who supplies it, and asks your permission before any question is sent. Your data and security

Can I complain about an answer or about the service?

Yes. Mark any answer down in the app and your HR expert reviews it. A complaint about the service comes to us, not to the HR expert concerned.
